Athena Cheris is a Latina lesbian filmmaker, writer, and photographer from San Francisco, California. She's pursing degrees in Film Production and Journalism at Loyola Marymount University and is set to graduate in May 2026.

Athena has directed a commercial for Beats by Dre and other films she’s worked on have screened at San Francisco International Film Festival, Outfest, Another Hole in the Head, and more.  She has written for the Los Angeles Loyolan and Kitchen Work, and won the Society of Professional Journalist's National Mark of Excellence in Food Writing. Her photography has been featured on Frank Darling's social media and she has shot BTS photography for multiple projects.
